Tomb of the 1st Ganjiro Nakamura

Born in Nishi-ku Ward in 1860, Ganjiro Nakamura was the first of the Kamigata Kabuki school . He successfully played Jihee Kamiya, the hero of the tragic drama “Shinju Ten no Amijima.”
