Death Place of Teikichi Ori

The samurai, Teikichi Ori, lived at around the end of the Edo piriod(1603 to 1867)and was a member of the Tosa Royalist Party. In 1865, the Osaka “Shinsen-gumi” or government’s security police attacked the “Zenzaiya,” or sweet red bean soup shop where he was hiding. It is said that he fought back four of these security police by himself for an hour. He died at the young age of 24.
