  • The Rich History and Culture of Chuo Ward

Chuo Ward is home to a number of historical heritage sites such as Osaka Castle, the Remains of Naniwa-no-Miya Palace, many historic temples and shrines, and also modern buildings. Additionally, various elements of Japanese culture such as Bunraku, which has been designated as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, Noh theater, and Kamigata performing arts thrive here.
Despite being the economic and cultural focal point of Osaka, local activities are also abundant, which has created a community with deep and lasting bonds.
