Dotombori has long been a popular area for entertainment and is now a world-famous tourist destination.
While new commercial facilities are popping up one after another, and new types of appeal are coming about at the cutting edge of style, we are working to make Dotombori a place that inherits the long-held traditions and cultures of the region that visitors can enjoy with peace of mind.

The Dotombori River Funatogyo (boat procession), held by Namba Yasaka Shrine in the summer, and Osaka Shochikuza’s Funenorikomi are events that were originally held during the Edo period (1603-1867), and have since been revived and become popular annual events.

In front of Hozenji Temple’s Mizukake Fudo-son statue is the only museum in the world with a permanent exhibition of Kamigata Ukiyoe prints: the Kamigata Ukiyoe Museum.
